Cabrini Elementary & Middle School Advisory Committee

Meeting Date/Time:
Second Wednesday of the Month, 6:30-7:30pm

Purpose:
The purpose of the CES/CMS Advisory Committee is to advise and support the school administrators regarding policies/procedures which ensure a quality Catholic education for students in Cabrini Elementary/Middle School.

As directed by the School President, Principal and/or Pastor, the advisory committee participates in:

  • Supporting Archdiocesan school policies
  • Supporting the objectives of the Education Commission as they pertain to the elementary school
  • Formulating and reviewing policies and goals for the school
  • Developing, facilitating and updating long and short range planning for the school
  • Encouraging professional growth of the principal and staff
  • Facilitate movement of information to committee, foster consensus and work plans for development of our schools


Recent Accomplishments:

  • Annual Parent Survey, with results presented to School Administration and Father Joe
  • Starting a new After School Math Enrichment Program in 2008/2009
  • Supported Elementary, Middle, and High School Accreditation processes
  • Review school projects and programs, i.e. Cabrini Dream Mentor Program with Mr. Campbell
  • Regular review of parent input on "issues of general concern" and "suggestions for school improvement" with school administrators


Committee Membership:

Committee consists of 10 members; 3 standing members (Pastor, School President, School Principal) and 7 selected members.

New members are selected as vacancies arise. Written requests for new members will be published in the Church Paper, and letters sent home to parents.

The Pastor reserves the right to select up to 2 members based on specific specialty skills.
